James K. Voelz - Founding Member

James is the founding member of Voelz, Reed, & Mount, LLC, and was the senior partner in the firm until his retirement in 2016. James K. Voelz grew up in Columbus, Indiana.He has an undergraduate degree from Hanover College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University Indianapolis Law School. During his time with the firm, James was an active member of Hoosier Hills Estate Planning Council, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and its Indiana Chapter, the Indiana State Bar Association, and its Elder Law and Probate, Trust, and Real Property Sections, and Jim has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. As a practicing attorney, James was well respected and never hesitated to give back to his profession or community. He was often sought out to give presentations for various organizations and to be a presenter at numerous professional conferences. Additionally, James contributed to various publications, including his original publication “Senior Moments”
